The Association has an outdoor 50 metre Range in Gloucester, known as Sneedhams Green County Range. The range is certified for use with up to .44 pistol calibre rounds (subject to the conditions set out in the Range Orders and Safety Certificate) and all affiliated club members are free to use the range, but please look on our Calendar of Events first, to make sure you don’t have a wasted journey.
Parking: All visitors to the range must use the grassed lower parking area. Access to the range is via steps adjacent to the firing point. The upper parking area is for the use of Glevum TSC members only.
Please familiarise yourself with the Range Orders and the conditions of the Range Safety Certificate before using the range. They can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
Note in particular that:
- Black Powder Rifle (subject to calibre (0.44 inch), Muzzle Energy and Muzzle Velocity maxima) is now allowed on the range
- .17HMR is prohibited for use on the county range
- The use of “spinner” targets for Field Target/HFT is permitted for use with non-FAC (sub 12ft/lbs) air rifles only
- The downloading of fullbore/high velocity/high energy ammunition is prohibited
- Jacketed magnum rounds are prohibited
If you need further clarification on any of the points, please contact the Secretary or your GASRPC committee representative, and we will endeavour to answer your query.
