GASRPC

Formal call to a County Association Extraordinary General Meeting.
Date: 16th February; Time: 19.30; Venue: Bristol Aero RPC hosting at BAWA, BS34 7RF.

Following the resignation of six of the eight current GASRPC Officers and with two ongoing vacancies, an EGM has been called by me as GA Chair acting during my notice period.
All Full Members of Member Clubs, Affiliated Clubs and Associate Members are invited to attend.
Nominations for the vacancies below should be sent to me by email to arrive not later than 18.00 on Wednesday 2nd February as per Clause 13.4 of the GASRPC Constitution.

The person nominated must personally confirm their willingness to stand. Should nominees exceed vacancies, election shall be by ballot at the meeting. Nominations not received in advance by the date above will not be accepted at the meeting.

Vacancies are: Chair; Vice Chair; Secretary; Treasurer; Prone Rifle Captain; Lightweight Sport Rifle Captain; Air Rifle Captain; Ladies Rifle Captain (all GA Officer Positions), plus Safeguarding Officer.

A PDF of the 2014 GASRPC Constitution and the 2014 GASRPC Bye Laws can be downloaded from the GASRPC website: https://www.gasrpc.uk and will be observed throughout the election process and beyond.

This is a rare opportunity to re-shape the County Association and the way Competitions, Coaching, Club Support and the GA Sneedham’s Green Range are all organised and funded going forward.

The key conditions for election to become an Officer of the Association are that the candidate has been a Full Member in a Member Club for not less than twelve months and is proposed and seconded by at least two other members (Clause 3.11 of the GASRPC Bye Laws). This opens the opportunity to nominees from a vast pool of experienced shooters throughout the Gloucestershire Association boundaries.

I look forward to hearing from nominees and perhaps seeing you on February 16th.

Paul
